A new middle school was created for the joint parishes of St. Joseph and Immaculate Conception. The project involved a complete renovation of an existing Chicago Public School building and new additions for an administrative wing and Gymnasium. The new facility provides classrooms for 4th through 8th grades as well as a Music Room, Dance Studio, Resource Library, Science Lab and Art Room. Two Pre-School rooms with an indoor Gross-Motor Skills room were also created. The Parishes will use the Gymnasium and Cafeteria for large parish functions, and classrooms will also serve Religious Education program needs. The project included an addition of 9,120 sf for a total of 54,550 sf of education space. |
