New Song Community Church, Aurora, IL

New Song Community Church, a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, started worship services in 2000 at the Pastor's living room and then moved to an elementary school gymnasium. Soon they will have their own 11,500 sf. facility complete with a multi-purpose worship space, administrative offices, religious education classrooms, and a gathering space for fellowship after service. Future planning has been developed for additions including a pre-school, additional religious education classrooms, and a more formal worship Sanctuary. Sustainable design features include exterior sunscreens to minimize solar heat gain and use of local materials, such as insulated precast exterior wall panels.
