This historic church in the Edgebrook neighborhood of Chicago was severely damaged by an arson fire in late January of 2010. JNA prepared a master plan that will include a complete structural rebuild of the worship roof and two-story addition at the north, along with a parking lot reconfiguration to provide a passenger drop-off area and better entrance visibility. Significant changes to the worship layout, narthex, elevator, and toilet accessibility are also being accommodated, along with reproducing the elaborate stenciling and liturgical artwork on the interior. This will provide both contemporary and traditional services as well as music performance events. The project also includes pipe organ, acoustical, and audio/visual technological enhancements. |
