JNKA is proud to announce their sponsorship of Partners for Sacred Places' "New Dollars/New Partners" training seminar series for representative teams from 12 historic interfaith churches in Chicago. This training program includes five sessions over a six month period with four full day seminars focused on educating the participating churches about the true value of their churches as assets to both the congregations themselves and to the broader communities around them, and training them to understand and maintain their church buildings better, to acquire the necessary skills to communicate more effectively about their churches, and to equip them with the skills necessary to raise the funds required for maintaining, restoring and renovating their churches.
The first seminar took place in November at the Greater Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago and JNKA Principal David Kuhlman gave a 90-minute presentation titled "Learning to Look at Your Building with a New Eye" about JNKA's process of performing architectural and engineering assessments of existing church buildings.
Partners for Sacred Places invited David to give the same presentation on performing building assessments, "Learning to Look at Your Building with a New Eye," to representatives from 12 historic Catholic churches at the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary later in November, which included a tour of the historic Chapel of the Immaculate Conception.
